Miriam OR Mary:-
The Quran is replete with historical, theological, characters and events errors that are so immense in magnitude and so numerous, that they can boggle the mind of the learned person.
In this particular case, the Quran has mixed up the Biblical character of Miriam - the sister of Moses and Aaron and the daughter of Amram their father (1450 BCE) - with the New Testament Mary the mother of Jesus (1 BCE), a time difference of 1450 years.
Because of these irreconcilable historical and theological astounding errors, the exegetes of Muhammadan Islam unashamedly continued - and continue - to perpetuate many blatant lies and deceptions upon humanity for the last 1400 years.
In fact, in the Quran, the name Mary does not exist but only MARIAM, forcing the translators and interpreters to use the name Mary to mislead the readers who either do not know Arabic or are ignorant of the New Testament.
Even the translation of the Quran by Pickthall, a Christian convert to Muhammadanism, had no choice but to continue this deception.
The following verses were copied and altered by Muhammad almost verbatim from the Gospel of Luke Chapter 1 and interspersed among his Suras as and when he saw fit.
As usual with Muhammad, he did not fully understand the context of the original story, from the points of view of both the theological or the historical, and hence got them all jumbled up.
3: 35 Behold! a woman of Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto thee what is in my womb for Thy special service so accept this of me for Thou hearest and knowest all things."
# 375 Now we begin the story of Jesus. As a prelude we have the birth of Mary and the parallel story of John the Baptist, Yahya the son of Zakariya. Yahya's mother Elisabeth was a cousin of Mary the mother of Jesus (Luke i. 36), and therefore John and Jesus were cousins by blood, and there was a spiritual cousinhood in their birth and career. Elisabeth was of the daughters of Aaron (Luke i. 5), of a priestly family which went back to Aaron the brother of Moses and son of Imran. Her husband Zakariya was actually a priest, and her cousin Mary was presumably also of a priestly family. By tradition Mary's mother was called Hannah (in Latin, Anna, and in English, Anne), and her father was called Imran. Hannah is therefore both a descendant of the priestly house of Imran and the wife of Imran,-"a woman of Imran" in a double sense#
*** Abdullah Y Ali, the translator and interpreter of the Quran, seems to agree with the previous Muhammadan exegetes that the current Hebrew Bible is not the original one given to Moses but an altered one.
If this the case, why then does he use the same allegedly 'perverted' Bible as a reference by quoting from it chapter and verse, whenever it suits his purposes to denigrate and insult both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament?
When was this Editing and Tampering with the Bible occur? BEFORE Muhammad and his Quran or AFTER?
If BEFORE, then why did Muhammad instruct and or appeal to the pagan Arabs and to his followers to that he, Muhammad, was PREDICTED in these books and that these books are WITNESS to the 'VERACITY' of the Quran?
If AFTER, then WHEN ? Where? By WHOM?
How does he know which verses were altered and which were not?
Have any of the followers of Muhammad recourse to the original versions?
If not, why not?
If not, how then, can they be sure of the veracity of the Quran?
If Mary [Mariam] is decended from Aaron, why then call her daughter of Imran [Amran] who was the father of Moses, Aaron & their sister Miriam and who was most definitely NOT a priest?
Jewish tradition has no mention of Mary [Mariam] nor is her geneaology authentic.
In which tradition and where can the translator find such references regarding her ancestry?
In fact, in Christian tradition her father is called HELI from the tribe of Judah and not IMRAN.
Imran [Amram] was NEVER a priest; only Aaron was one.
Hence no descendant of Imran [Amram] outside of Aaron,can be of a priestly family. Based on the historical record and on the geneaolgical, Mary [Mariam] cannot be one either.
For the 100th time - at least- Muhammad , his Quran and the Muhammadan theologians, exegetes, translators and/or 'scholars' are wrong yet again, and trying their best at subterfuge to explain their way out of their nightmarish predicament ***
3: 36 And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female--Allah knew best of what she was delivered--the male is not as the female; and Lo! I have named her Mary [Mariam], and Lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast. 37 And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary [Mariam]! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will.
*** Besides the fact that not a single word in the verse above was uttered by Mary [Mariam] as alleged in the Quran, and since Mary [Mariam] was a Jewess, she could not possibly have known the name Allah as it does not exist in the Bible and is the Arabic name of the supreme god of the pagan Ka'ba in Arabia, almost desert 1000 miles away.
It is imperative that the reader must be made aware of a most fundamental issue regarding the Quran and Muhammadan Islam:
Allah is NOT God but the NAME of the supreme pagan god of the Quraysh, embedded in the corner wall of the Ka'ba called the BLACK STONE.
Mariam could only address herself to the God of Israel as HASHEM [ELOHIM] - since the God of Israel has no name - and was never ALLAH ***
3: 42 Behold! the angels said: "O Mary [Mariam]! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee; chosen thee above the women of all nations.
3: 45 Behold! the angels said "O Mary [Mariam]! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus the son of Mary held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.
*** The Quran is obviously wrong again here also since Christ is NOT part of the name of Jesus BUT a TITLE meaning MESSIAH ***
19: 28 "O sister of Aaron! thy father was not a man of evil nor thy mother a woman unchaste!" #2481 Aaron the brother of Moses was the first in the line of Israelite priesthood. Mary and her cousin Elisabeth (mother of Yahya) came of a priestly family, and were therefore, "sisters of Aaron" or daughters of 'Imran (who was Aaron's father). See n. 375 to iii. 35. Mary is reminded of her high lineage and the unexceptionable morals of her father and mother. How, they said, she had fallen, and disgraced the name of her progenitors!#
*** The above verse only asserts that the Mary [Mariam] repeatedly mentioned as the mother of Jesus, is the same as the sister of Aaron in the Bible [Mariam] which obviously makes her the daughter of Imram [Amram].
If so, yet again it has to be asserted, that she could not be of a priestly ancestry as she is not the DAUGHTER of Aaron the first PRIEST of Israel.
The confusion is completely on the side of Muhammad and his Quran and no where else. All the convoluted explanations by M Y Ali - and othe Muhammadan Muslims like him - are as UNTRUTHFUL as the Quranic verse
above ***
66: 12 And Mary [Mariam] the daughter of 'Imran [Amram] who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into her (body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations and was one of the devout (Servants).
*** As usual in the Quran, this is erroneous since according to the Gospel of Luke 3:24, Mary's father's name was Heli and NOT Imran. It is impossible that the angel Gabriel who predicted the arrival of Jesus, could have told Muhammad such a blatant lie.
The angel who informed Muhammad could not have been Gabriel nor could he have been a messenger from the God of Israel.
Either way, it adds to the lack of veracity of the Quranic verses which are totally at odds with the historical and theological records that had pre existed both Muhammad and his Quran for hundreds of years***

The Prophet entered the Ka'ba and found in it the pictures of (Prophet) Abraham and Mary. On that he said' "What is the matter with them ( i.e. Quraish)? They have already heard that angels do not enter a house in which there are pictures; yet this is the picture of Abraham. And why is he depicted as practicing divination by arrows?"
*** Bukhari should have known better than to incorporate this blatantly false ISNAD in his Sahih Hadith.
Muhammad after all, was visiting the Ka'ba MOST of his life without once mentioning these alleged pictures in it ***

Allah's Apostle said, "Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asia, Pharaoh's wife, and Mary, the daughter of 'Imran. And no doubt, the superiority of 'Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. a meat and bread dish) to other meals."

I heard the Prophet saying, "Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, was the best among the women (of the world of her time) and Khadija is the best amongst the women. (of this nation)."

The Prophet said, "The superiority of 'Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh."
Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. They are merciful and kind to their off-spring and the best guardians of their husbands' properties.' Abu Huraira added, "Mary the daughter of Imran never rode a camel."

The Prophet said, "Many men reached perfection but none among the women reached perfection except Mary, the daughter of ' Imran, and Asia, Pharoah's wife. And the superiority of 'Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid to other kinds of food."
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 5326 Narrated byMughirah ibn Shu'bah
When I came to Najran, they (the Christians of Najran) asked me: You read
"O sister of Harun" (i.e. Maryam) in the Qur'an, whereas Moses was born much before Jesus.
When I came back to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) I asked him about that, whereupon he said:
The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostle and pious persons who had gone before them.
*** This is a most remarkable hadith since it addresses the veracity of both Muhammad and his Quran by one of his followers and not by an enermy of Muhammad.
Muhammad's answer is as FALSE as the Quranic assertions regarding Mariam. Being the 'apostle of Allah' , he forbade any of his followers to pursue the question lest they may end up in Hell.
The unwillingness of the followers of Muhammad to question anything in the Quran continues unabated to this day.
His followers of TODAY are as IGNORANT of PREVIOUS REVELATIONS as the pagan Arabs were 1400 years ago ***
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 6181 Narrated byAnas ibn Malik
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Among the women of the universe, Mary, daughter of Imran, Khadijah, daughter of Khuwaylid, Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, and Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh are enough for you."

Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 6184 Narrated byUmm Salamah
In the year of the Conquest Allah's messenger (peace be upon him) called Fatimah and spoke privately to her and she wept; he then spoke to her and she laughed. When Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) died she asked her about her weeping and her laughing and she replied, "Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) informed me that he was going to die, so I wept; he then informed me that, with the exception of Mary, daughter of Imran, I should be the chief lady among the inhabitants of Paradise, so I laughed."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
The name of Mariam is repeated 34 times in 12 Suras in the Quran.
*** There are HUNDREDS of other instances in the Quran, similar to the one above in their total lack of veracity , historicity and accuracy when they are compared to their originals in the Bible.
No intelligent, decent, just, moral and fair human being, would accept that the Almighty would give TWO completely DIFFERENT and CONTRADICTORY Divine Revelations and assert that BOTH are TRUE.
Such an act cannot possibly be divine ***
